DOLCE FAR NIENTE

A choreography unfolding and unearthing, Dolce far niente is a new opportunity for an encounter, as well as a return to all the previous processes by MOLD kolektiv, whose members are otherwise dispersed across three different cities and two continents. Using the rare occasion to spend time together in performance and companionship, they inhabit the gallery space and invite both found and intentional audiences to peek into their herbarium consisting of multilayered times and past and future environments.

This durational piece can be perceived as a single performance lasting 11 and a half hours, or maybe it’s rather a series of choreographic episodes which continue developing sketches for: welcoming mess and leisure, establishing space for play, silliness, gifts of missing you, yet uncovered ideas, untamed curiosities, unfollowed rules and unrejected proposals, caring for the useless, a continued quest for a world of kisses, not stones. This world is spinned, transposed and resting. In it, it’s important to have a look at the other side, always wider than the body, which is not as easy when there are no clear edges nor frontality.

Feel free to stay a while, somebody might find you. You can visit once or twice or more, for any duration of time. Here you’ll find a way of being together without stress and must-do’s. We might show you the fruit we have, too.
